Harness Your Energy to Do Less and Make More Money

jenenne-article-5-pic

Do less? Yeah, right. That sounds like one of those spiritual practices that don’t take into account just how much you have to do!

Actually, there is an 80/20 rule that allows you to do less, earn more and dominate in your industry. The rule says that 80 percent of your results come from 20 percent of your efforts, and vice versa.

Jenenne Macklin
is our Thriving Woman of the Week!

012015_TIW Telesummit_ Rev. Jenenne Macklin_Headshot

How long have you been in business?
I have been in my current business officially for 3.5 years.
I began my business to speak, empower, inspire and transform the lives of women to move beyond their fears and limitations so that they step into their power, know their value,  and live with passion, purpose and power.

What is your mission for your business?
My mission is to coach & empower women to know that they can live their dreams, accomplish their goals and live the life they desire and deserve.

If there was one thing you wish you knew before starting your business, what would that be?
I wish I would have known the level of rigor, persistence and stages of becoming an entrepreneur.  This would have given me more realistic expectations and more patience and less frustration.

What is a guiding principle that you use in your business?
Leave each person listened to.

What makes you a thriving woman in business?
I set a goal standing at the crossroads and I have surpassed that goal in several levels.  The greatest level for me is in the lives of women I have touched with a fresh conversation about “being” the amazing women we each are first and foremost, honoring and accepting ourselves then consciously deciding how we will fill our roles, serve our clients, build and sustain our businesses.

What do you love about being a thriving woman in business?
I love the work that I have created and the women who choose to invest with me to change the trajectory of their lives.  I love being a catalyst for success in the lives of women who say Yes to their dreams and goals through my program. I love the flexibility of my life, the lifestyle I’ve created, the example I am for my son and the legacy I’m creating, the new dimensions of myself that are discovered in this process, and actually generating an income in a business.

What is the next big thing or dream for you in your business?
To create a live event with the world’s top motivational speakers.

Ready to BE Uncomfortable for Greater Success

Laura G Digital graphic 3If you’re familiar with Lululemon, the athletic attire company, you know their shopping bag is covered with inspirational statements, compelling you to live a life of inspiration, fun, spontaneity and joy.

While all are powerful, there’s one that I love the most because it beckons you to allow the butterflies you feel in your stomach when you stand on the precipice of a change, or taking a leap of faith, to be your guide.  It says, “Do one thing every day that scares you.”—Eleanor Roosevelt

What are five things that scare you?  Being transparent about your feelings? Going for the big bodacious goal?  Putting yourself first? Actions that stir your soul and open your heart?  Meditating every day?

A Lesson from a Comedian and a Singer

Jenenne graphicOne of the biggest elements and opportunities to cultivate on the entrepreneurial journey is the power of collaboration. Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

As an entrepreneur, it’s easy to get stuck in doing everything alone and on your own. It’s also lonely and hard. You spend a great deal of time working “in” your business rather than “on” your business. One of the solutions is to develop relationships in which collaborations are an easy yes.

Collaboration in my business means working with other entrepreneurs to create my telesummits and speak to their audiences.  At a different level, it means seizing an opportunity to achieve my next-level success by working with other business owners at a higher level, such as Caterina Rando or Lisa Nichols.

In the end, it has been a win-win for all of us involved.

How to MAXIMIZE Productivity when Your Office Is at Home. Part 3

Part one was about setting you up for success. Part two covered pushing your reset button. Now we turn our laDY WITH THUMB UPattention to managing your mind to maximize your productivity. One of the truths about a home office is that you spend a good deal of time alone.

How do you keep your mind supporting you to reach your milestones toward success? Let me say, this will require some awareness and practice. So be gentle with yourself. That is, unless you were taught to meditate or notice your thoughts when you were growing up. Frankly, most of us weren’t. Nonetheless, your mind must become your greatest ally in maximizing your productivity. Too often in working with my clients I find that their mind is like an unruly child. It taunts them with the most outrageous outcomes that will never happen.

How to MAXIMIZE Productivity when Your Office Is at Home. Part 2

Now that you have clarity on why to have an office/business from home, the next step to maximize your productivitytechnolgydelegate is to establish when to push the reset button. What I have found with many of my clients is that once the adrenaline is flowing, it’s hard to stop.

The feeling is great, in the beginning. You’re at “your best,” effortlessly accomplishing your highest revenue-generating activity, usually making calls or coaching, and then you hit a wall. Instead of stopping, you tell yourself you’ll try harder and dig deeper, because you can’t stop. But for productivity, you must stop.
