How long have you been in business? I’ve owned my own branding/marketing firm for over 20 years and have been a marketing coach since September 2014.
Why did you begin your business? I sort of fell into my business originally. I found that freelance, and then being my own firm, fit me best. Fast forward 20 years, this newer version of my business as a marketing coach is the integration of my personal and professional life. It brings together my professional marketing expertise with my deep personal passion for spiritual growth. I can support entrepreneurs in figuring out their marketing and guide them into a higher version of themselves while doing so. That is so meaningful for me.
What is your mission for your business?
To elevate marketing from a “to-do” to a profound act of service. I want all entrepreneurs to feel real, in their power and at ease when they are marketing. And for the world to become one of marketing resonance rather than “push marketing,” where what an entrepreneur puts out really resonates with those who would be well served by their work. Marketing is enhanced with collaboration. There are simply too many parts and functions to do them all well while running a great business. You’ll be well-served if you focus on creating successful collaborations with vendors to do your marketing as well as partners that you can co-market with. It can enhance your well-being to be part of a supported team rather than an isolated solopreneur. It also allows you to make a deeper difference in the world as you free up time and energy to grow your business or to work in your highest state.
Collaborations are successful when you:
Believe that other people can support you. Get assistance in clearing out earlier experiences of betrayal, hurt or loss. Own your background and behave accordingly. Even if you’ve done lots, not having successful collaborations means there’s more to clear.
