Are You WILLING to Leap?

Are You WILLING to Leap?

leap-i-can-and-i-willAre you willing to leap? Notice I did not ask you if you are READY to Leap, but rather, are you WILLING? One of my mentors, Caterina Rando, always says “don’t wait until you’re ready, act when you’re willing.” This has always struck a chord with me because we are rarely ready to take the leap, or put ourselves out there in a big way, stepping out of our comfort zones, in order to get to where we want to be, but we have to be willing. It’s like parenthood, no one is ever ready and 100% prepared before their little ones arrive, but they are willing (and super excited!) to take the leap into parenthood.

In life and business, if we wait until we are totally prepared before we launch a program, make those phone calls, start an exercise program or write that novel, our lives will pass us by and before we know it, it will be too late.

Staying in our comfort zone can be comfortable, and it can also get really uncomfortable for those of us who are being called to something bigger. When you’re getting ready to face a fear, ask yourself, “What choice am I going to make right now? And I going to move forward and take a leap, getting closer to my dreams, or am I going to hold back and stay where I am? If I chose to stay where I am, what could I be missing out on?”

I want to challenge you this week to take the leap and build your wings on the way down. Yes, it’s scary! Yes, you will have to step out of your comfort zone. Yes, you will grow your business and change your life!

What’s more important to you-staying safe in your comfort zone, or having a thriving, incredible life? So, if you’re with me, I want you to decide which mountain you want to tackle first, step up to the edge, take a giant leap and flap like crazy on the way down. I’ve chosen my mountain, stepped up to the edge, jumped and am flap, flap, flapping.
Which leap will you take?

8 empowering beliefs to increase happiness

8 Empowering Beliefs to increase your happiness

Your experiences are shaped by your thinking. By adopting some of the beliefs below you can empower yourself to be happy. Even obstacles have a value when you can see it. You can develop convictions that will help you to feel happier and achieve more, regardless of the situation.

I am blessed
I am blessed

Consider these empowering beliefs that you can start using today to transform your life through the power of positive thinking.

  1. I understand my potential. You can achieve amazing results when you put your mind to it. Feel excited about reaching your true potential. I hereby grant you permission to let yourself be ALL that you can be.
  2. I count my blessings. List each thing that you have to be grateful for. Remember to include the smaller items, like warm socks, instagram or tart cranberriesExpressing your appreciation reminds you of how rich you are. I think you can find more of these each day if you put your attention on it,
  3. I learn from mistakes. You can make setbacks work for you by focusing on the lessons that they contain. Flubbing one job interview can teach you how to ace the next one. As a performing artist I cannot get upset over one word I forgot at the last concert. My mastery come in the form of how resilient I am and how well I recover.
  4. I find meaning in adversity. Tough times can be the most rewarding phase of your life. Know that you can emerge from any challenge with greater wisdom and courage. I hate to say it but that old adage of “that which does not kill you makes you stronger” has a tiny bit of truth to it! Look back at the obstacles you’ve already overcome, and reassure yourself that you can handle what’s ahead.
  5. I embrace change. Accept that life is a series of changes. Focus on the present moment, and prepare yourself to adapt to whatever circumstances come your way. If all else fails… practice this mantra: “change is good, change is good, change is good!”
  6. I dream big. Expand your wish list. Do not play small if you want big results. Setting demanding but attainable goals gives you adventures to look forward to each day.
  7. I practice forgiveness. Lighten your load by clearing away any resentment you’re holding onto from the past. Set reasonable boundaries while you respond with compassion when others disappoint you. While you are at it, Pardon yourself too. If you are like me you can be pretty rough on yourself at times and while that fuels you to get better you do want to temper it with a some of that golden compassion you tend to grant others.
  8. I give generously. Sharing your blessings makes you more powerful and joyful. Volunteer in your community and speak kindly to each person you meet today. Buy coffee for your co-workers or give your receptionist a flower.

Dream big and stay positive. You can achieve all of the goals you set out to achieve.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you or your business.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Courage or Fear, Which Will You Choose?

Courage or Fear, Which Will You Choose?

Retro style image of a rustic wooden sign in an autumn park with the words Courage - Fear offering a choice of reaction and attitude with arrows pointing in opposite directions in a conceptual image.

Being an entrepreneur is not easy. It takes hard work, dedication, persistence, personal growth, and most of all, courage.

Courage is taking action IN SPITE of fear, something we all have. Fears of success, of failure, of the unknown, of being seen, of not being good enough…the list goes on. We have a choice when faced with fear. We can run, hide and take cover, or we step up, feel the fear, and do it anyway. We can take the opportunity to get out of our comfort zone, moving us towards our dreams or we stay in our comfort zone and live an ok life, keeping our dreams just that. Dreams.

One of the most powerful questions to ask yourself when making a choice is, “Is this decision moving me towards my goals?” If your answer is no, ask yourself “why am I holding back? What is my fear? What is the WORST that can happen if I take this risk? If I decide not to take myself forward towards my goal, what could I miss out on?”

You see, most people let their fears control them and never create the life of their dreams. A big difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is courage. Facing the fear and doing it anyway. Stepping out of their comfort zone. Giving it all they’ve got. Doing anything it takes to get there.

So I ask you, where are you holding back? Are your decisions taking you towards your goals? What’s the worst that can happen if you felt the fear and did it anyway?

I challenge you to do ONE thing out of your comfort zone, today, to move you towards a goal. When you do it, CELEBRATE! I would love to hear all about it too, so leave me a comment.

Aeriol’s top 10 tips to building online influence with Facebook Live

10 easy breezy tips to get started building online influence with social media: Facebook Live

Those of you who may know me personally know that I am a Social Media Evangelist and a bit of an Audio- Visual geek! lol. well, I just made that up but the truth of the matter is I absolutely LOVE Facebook and I am currently immersing myself in Instagram as well. Both of these Social Media Platforms have a video function which is great news for business’s who would like to build their online visibility and influence.

Instagram currently lets you take or upload short videos up to 60 seconds long. This is great in and of itself but I see this as interesting opportunity to create a promotional buzz to promote longer videos and host video shows on FB live. I see both these platforms (both owned by Facebook coincidentally) really working together to support each other in social media marketing and influence building.

Today I wanted to give you just a couple tips on getting your FB Live Broadcast ready to go. Here are 10 easy breezy steps to get you started:

  1. Have a script or outline for your topic. I can’t stress this enough- I know we all think we can be impromptu but you are going to want to have at least a an outline to keep you on track to make sure you don’t wast any of your broadcast time. Try to have bulleted points or 3-5 “hot tips” that you can share and then talk about a little more in depth to expand.
  2. Ideally you should do a preliminary sound check and also check your lighting and surroundings on your camera so you can see how you look before shooting. This ensures quality picture that your audience will enjoy.
  3. Log into your Facebook account on your phone from your profile, business page or group depending on who you want to see your video.
  4. Touch the “Publish” icon to create your video post.
  5. Touch the “Live Video” icon.
  6. Write a super juicy title… (to see more tips please click link)

Are You Sabotaging Your Own Success? Part 2

Are You Sabotaging Your Own Success? Part 2

qualities-795865_1280This is part two in a three part series on sabotaging your own success. If you missed part one, you can read it here.

The next self-limiting belief that stops people from success is “I’m not worthy or I do not deserve.”

Usually we are not scripted to be successful when we were growing up. Rather we were told to fit in and not bring too much attention to ourselves.
We often incurred criticism when we felt too good about ourselves and heard things like, “Who do you think you are?” Being boastful was considered conceited and a definite “no no”. Many of us over-generalized and made the mistake of thinking that we shouldn’t think too highly of ourselves, and if we did someone would shoot us down. How Thriving Health Builds the “Know, Like, and Trust” Factor

How Thriving Health Builds the “Know, Like, and Trust” Factor

Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise 1

It’s Business 101: people have to know, like, and trust you before they choose to do any kind of business with you. Whether you are looking to get more clients or collaborate with like-minded entrepreneurs on a business venture, those you seek to bring on board in some way must, again, know, like, and trust you.

There is one thing that you must have in order for people to know, like, and trust you and that one thing is confidence. You must not only have confidence in your product or service, but you also must have confidence in yourself – how you walk into a room, how you show up on stage, how you present yourself over the phone, and so on.

The best way to increase your confidence, and therefore the “know, like, and trust factor” is to live a vibrantly healthy life. When you have thriving health, you have more energy. You smile more. You carry yourself with pride. You present on stage with poise and dignity. You present your offers with certainty. You get more clients. More people want to do business with you. More people want to collaborate with you. When you look and feel well, you put your best foot forward each day.

You represent your brand – what your brand stands for. When you’re confident in how you present yourself to your prospects, you will grow your business and help more people through your products or services. Living a healthy life is a choice. When it comes to the “know, like, and trust factor”, it’s not just a health choice; it’s a business choice.

5 Ways to Expand Your Leadership Capacity

executive-534416_1920Being a leader is more than just having a corner office, a six figure paycheck, and a fancy title. It’s about being able to empower and motivate people to be the best they can be — whether you’re a CEO or a soccer mom.

I have been a regular attender of the Global Leadership Summit for the past several years and have gained a whole new perspective on what it means to be a leader as a result.

Craig Groeschel, senior pastor and founder of Life Church, is a past speaker of the Summit and shares his 5 C’s to Expand Your Leadership Capacity.

I challenge you to pick ONE — the one area that is keeping your business from reaching its maximum potential — and focus on it. Continue reading “5 Ways to Expand Your Leadership Capacity”

Assumptions Holding You Back?

Assumptions Holding You Back?

This is part seven in a series on how to create your best year ever as an introverted woman entrepreneur. If you have not read part six, you can read it here.

Today I want to talk about Assumptions, one of the four big energy blocks that I’ve been talking about the past few weeks that hold you back from your dreams and success you desire. What are assumptions? It is the expectation that because something happened in the past, that it will happen again. That history will repeat itself. It’s like driving with your rear view mirror. You don’t drive with your rear view mirror, you look forward when you drive. Looking forward, not to your past, is how you want to live your life.

Anthony Robbins says “The quality of your life will be determined by the questions you ask yourself.”

When you have an assumption come up that stops you in your tracks, I want you to ask yourself this question: “Just because ‘this thing’ happened in the past, why must it happen again?” This will help you break through that belief to move you towards your dreams.

Join me next week for the last of the energy blocks, Interpretations.

Join me in my free Facebook group, Confidence for Women Entrepreneurs for regular tips and inspiration.

What are Your Thoughts Whispering in Your Ear?

What are Your Thoughts Whispering in Your Ear?

Woman with tin can phoneThis is part five in a series on how to create your best year ever as an introverted woman entrepreneur. If you have not read part four, you can read it here.

“It’s not what you say out of your mouth that determines your life, it’s what you whisper to yourself that has the most power.” – Robert Kiyosaki

I love this quote because when it comes to gremlins (aka the Inner Critic), it is absolutely true. You do not hold yourself back because the voice in your head says you are amazing. You hold yourself back because the voice in your head says you are not “good enough” as you are. This voice stops us in our tracks, which is why I also like to refer to it as our “Stoppable Self.”

Our gremlins come up as we start to step out of our comfort zone, to play a bigger game. They are not trying to hurt us, on the contrary, they are attempting to protect us and keep us safe. The unknown can be scary, especially for us introverts who fear truly showing up, and being seen and heard in 100 percent our authentic selves.
