No matter what business you are in, what niche you serve, if you are marketing online or through email, you’re likely experiencing crappy open rates, increased opt-outs and declining conversion. These are clear signs that your would-be clients are demanding a change in the way you court and close your ideal clients.
Often in business we keep our focus on the things that are the most important: serving our clients, making sales, or paying bills. Because we put our energy toward the most important tasks, we sometimes inadvertently put up with things that are not ideal. Continue reading “What are you tolerating that is keeping you stuck?”
Are you in love with your business? How about your clients? Your team?
Most entrepreneurs are deeply creative beings who long to serve others. Business requires us to constantly expand in areas that we don’t always love, like “marketing,” “conversions,” and, the dreaded, “sales.”
The way I see it, business is a love relationship. Our clients give us the opportunity to earn a living by serving them. Of course we love them. We just aren’t always clear about how to reach them.
Good marketing means:
- Knowing who your ideal client is and not allowing yourself to spend time with people you are not here to help
- Listening to your clients’ needs so you know exactly what they are struggling with
- Letting your potential clients know that you are committed to partnering with them to generously create solutions together
If your marketing is done well and you establish caring relationships with your ideal clients, the sales will literally close themselves.
Your job is to provide solutions to problems. In the sales process, you only get to the solution when you have earned somebody’s trust. To earn that trust you must do a little warmup; a little marketing.
When you focus on solving another person’s problem in a unique way, marketing and sales become a joyful dance you welcome each day in your business.

Moving from the corporate world to my own business has taken a significant adjustment. My deep desire to have my own business overshadowed the abundance of support I received in my corporate job. Nonetheless my passion for having “my own thing” and the fulfillment I get from helping other women entrepreneurs is worth every photocopier, scanner, IT guy, finance team, human resource department, expense account, software program, and lavish lunch in the country. There are many treasures in the corporate world that came with the job, but now are at a cost in running my own business. Continue reading “3 Ways New Entrepreneurs Can Save Money”
Do you ever have experiences where something wonderful comes your way and you have no idea where it came from? It was something out of the blue. The person ahead of you at Starbucks pays for your coffee. You receive a surprise order from a valuable customer. Your spouse sends you flowers “just because.” The gifts mean you were the recipient of someone else giving back. Continue reading “Why It’s Super Important to Pay It Forward”

Would you like to use blog posts or articles for marketing your business, but you don’t know where to get started? Sales and marketing are essential to every female entrepreneur to launch or grow her business. You can use blogs to help promote your business and give value to build relationships with future prospects. The best part is that it’s free marketing and if you do it right, you can maximize each blog to reach prospects in multiple places. This article shares a few tips to get you started and is the first of two articles. The second blog covers how to make your blog into a multi-purpose vehicle to increase your social media exposure.
Quick Note: there are slight differences between blogs and articles, for example the length, 1500 or less words vs. 1500 or more words; 1st person vs. 3rd person; and the tone, scholarly vs. relationship. My writings are more of a combination, perhaps a “blarticle,” but for the purpose of this message, I will use blog and article synonymously.
