Be proactive, not reactive

ideal client, creative entrepreneur, building relationships, woman

You do something interesting. You put out a press release. Woo hoo! Now, here’s the real news. That’s not PR. That’s noise.

PR is like a seed. You plant it and in a few weeks, you’ll have a sprout of growth. A few weeks after that, you’ll have more growth, followed by a bud. Pretty soon, you’ll have a flower in full bloom.

PR for your business is your way of telling your story to a whole bunch of people. They may not need what you sell right now, but if they like you, they’ll remember you when they do. And, they’ll talk about you. (That’s called “creating a buzz” in PR-speak.)

So, instead of being reactive, be pro-active. And, watch what happens.
