Self-Care Quick Tips

Today I wanted to talk a little bit about Self-Care. As women entrepreneurs, we tend to go, go, go and push ourselves really hard to create the success we want and sometimes we work way to hard and we burn ourselves out.

A couple things you can do to avoid burn out, is take breaks when you start to feel yourself and your body getting really tired, don’t keep pushing through. Stop, take a break, do something rejuvenating and nice for yourself and your body. Take a bath, go for a walk, sit in your garden, enjoy the sunshine, read for a few minutes, meditate-something that will relax and rejuvenate you.

Another tip is to check in with your body often. When others are asking for support from us, check in with your body to help you decide whether to say yes or no. Be aware of whether your body is feeling constricted and tight or excited and light. If it feels constricted and tight, definitely say “no.” We need to take care of ourselves more. We love to help others, but if we are not taking good care of ourselves, we will burn out, and we cannot give from an empty cup. When we are burnt out, we cannot help anyone.
