Meet Innovative Woman Veronica Drake, Intuitive Business Consultant.
How and why did you start your business?
I was 45 yrs old and was planning to get married. My husband to be was my boss. He had 32 yrs at the organization in a high level position and we decided that I would leave the organization and pursue my dreams of becoming a coach. I was given the gift of freedom to re-create myself!
What has been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge was trying to figure out the “secret” to making it – financially! I got myself into 70K worth of debt trying to figure it out myself. While going through the process of building my business I was given the greatest gift of all – a true connection to my soul. I experienced myself at the deepest level possible and because I was creating this business I HAD to deal with my “stuff” and as a result my biggest challenge became my greatest gift.
After I realized I needed to develop myself and deal with my conditioned beliefs (not good enough, smart enough, thin enough, pretty enough) everything just flowed. I felt “worthy” and FINALLY hired a mentor/coach. The biggest mistake I made was NOT getting a coach early on. I made up every excuse there was MONEY being the biggest one, but in the meantime bought EVERY program and do-it-yourself service I could find!
How do you define SUCCESS?
For me success is doing what you love and transforming lives in the process!!! True JOY!
If there was one thing you wish you knew before you began, what would that be?
That everyone NEEDS to invest in a mentor… someone to lead the way… someone who has been there done that..
What makes you an innovative woman?
Being able to create from a place of oneness with Source. Tuning in and embracing the inner wisdom that resides in all of us and using it to develop services that changes lives. I honor the gift of breath and create from a place of joy and service.
