You’ve heard it. “Sell your product 24/7 so your computer becomes a cash machine.” So you built it. You offered it. And eh… it sold okay…
At this point, you might be thinking, ”So much effort and so little return. Is it worth it?”
The answer may be no. It might not have been worth it. Why? Because if you went to all of that effort without making sure the product was one customers wanted before you started, you were doomed before you began.
Follow this 5-Step process to increase the odds that your products will succeed.
- Before you develop products, do a little research on your product topic with your customer list. The best products begin with conversations you have with your list. It’s this initial step that intrigues your most trusted members and makes them look forward to what’s coming. A good question to ask is, “What’s the biggest problem you face?”
- After you’ve collected their responses, look for problems you can solve.
- Build your product. Make sure the solution you’re providing delivers more than your customers expect. Deliver product that WOW’s them. They’ll think a lot of you, because your hard work proves that you care about their results. The next time you have a product to offer, they’ll come on board.
- Selling is a story you share with your audience. Don’t make the “sell” the first part of the story. Instead, focus on the problems your customers have. Describe the challenges and frustrations they’re facing. Discuss their loss of productivity and their technology obstacles. After that’s done, you can ask them to buy with a simple, “Oh, and by the way, here’s something that can solve your problems now.” Remember: Focus on the benefits your customers get when they buy and use your product. That’s all they care about.
- Remember these 4 launch phases:
- Pre-Prelaunch: Indicates how perceptive your market is to your product.
- Prelaunch: Distribution of your high value prelaunch content to your list and JV partners’
lists over a 5-12 day period. No product is for sale during this period. - Launch: Open Cart time! Product is finally for sale between 24 hours to 7 days.
- Post Launch: Clean up sequence that follows up with all those stragglers who are sitting on
the fence.
