Pease join us for an afternoon (evening) reception of mingling, hors d’oeuvres and inspiration as we welcome Monica Nyiraguhabwa, Founder and Executive Director of Girl Up Initiative Uganda–one of the four charities TWIBC Giving Circle is helping to thrive.
Come hear Monica share her inspiring story of what is possible when one girl from the slums of Kampala is encouraged to step fully into her potential. Through her leadership Girl Up Initiative Uganda has catalyzed & empowered thousands of young girls from the slums, and more importantly, she’s influencing social and political norms in Uganda and beyond.
Monica will share the unique challenges and successes women face today, and how she is leading the charge to close the gap between gender inequality and empowering women to take charge of their own lives within her own country’s patriarchal culture.
This event also takes place the week of International Day of the Girl (October 8th) and we have some wonderful surprises for those who attend! To all of our VIP Giving Circle Members who have already given generously, so we look forward to thanking you in a more personal way and providing you the opportunity to connect with Monica!
