Havana On Your Mind? Join me in Cuba Dec. 1-8, 2018

Hello Ladies,

If you’re like me, you’ve been dreaming about Havana and exploring the city where time has stood still. You’ve imagined yourself marveling at the colorful buildings and the classic cars, the street vendors and the colonial architecture.

As you know, Cuba is quickly starting to lose it’s authenticity as more and more tourists arrive and as sanctions are loosened. My vision is to see Cuba in it’s raw form, in it’s original state as much as possible-before the Hiltons and Starbucks invade!

With this in mind, I’ve worked with my travel partners in Cuba (who have been experts in the destination for over 30 years) to curate an itinerary that showcases the cities and the countryside, the art and architecture, the music, the food and the beautiful people.

During this one week journey, we’ll meander through the cobblestone streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Trinidad and witness the Spanish colonial architecture of this beautiful city. We’ll hike to a waterfall and enjoy a refreshing swim.

We’ll then head to the Valley of Vinales to learn all about tobacco farming and production. We’ll ride bikes through the countryside and explore rural life.

Our last 3 days will be in Havana, enjoying street art as well as the fine works of art in the modern museums. We’ll learn about the history of the revolution as we stop in Revolution Square and visit Museo de la Revolucion. We’ll cruise down the Malecon in classic cars and wander through the artisan’s markets in Old Havana.

Since music and dance are such and integral part of the culture, we’ll see a special dance rehearsal of the famous Habana Compas Dance Company and swing by Casa de la Trova to enjoy some great Cuban sounds and local dancers. I’ve also secured center orchestra seats at the iconic Alicia Alonso Gran Teatro de Habana for our farewell event! ​

Throughout our journey, we’ll enjoy freshly-prepared meals together at authentic Paladares, listen to local musicians while we practice our Salsa and Rumba in the town plazas as well as in the most well-known social club of the 40s, 50s and 60s. Let’s not forget about those mojitos and daquiris-Yes! We’ll be having a drink at El Floridita bar where Hemingway frequented!

So many adventures in store! I’ve ensured that the pricing is as all-inclusive as possible (barring your personal incidentals and flights) so that you can not only enjoy your journey but also eliminate the need to carry excessive cash as Cuba does not accept U.S. credit cards.
