Ah the amazing BB cream – blemish balm, blemish base, beauty balm – whatever you want to call it – that all in one cosmetic with the beautiful benefits of replacing your moisturizer, primer, foundation and sunscreen. It’s like streamlining your morning ritual like streamlining your business while saving money! It versatile! Okay, but do you really think this is about BB cream? If you thought “no” then you are right – but it is about BB – Body Language and Belief. Those two things act in a similar fashion as BB creams in that they are versatile and without them can struggle needlessly in the world of business.
Let me explain. Let’s start with Body Language. The body language you deliver tells another individual a lot about you – from eye contact to how you carry yourself. Knowing what the body language of others is upon sight can protect you from possible uncomfortable situations. Many times in business we make a lot of cold calls in person via numerous forms of connections. We must carry ourselves in a manner that says “we are here”. When you walk with confidence – head up, shoulders back, solid stride and great handshake you set the stance that you are about your business. Confidence goes a very long way to make sure your body language is reflecting what you want people to see – even if you aren’t the most confident that day.
Now, as far as Belief – if you don’t believe in yourself who is going to believe in you? Ask yourself – “Am I good at what I do?” – “Do I provide value?” – and the big one – “Would I buy from me?”. If you answered YES to all of these then get out there and SELL something today. If you are thinking NO to any of these questions ask yourself why. It is either you do not believe in yourself OR you are not following your true passion.
