Innovative Woman Christine Miura

Innovative Woman of the WeekMeet Innovative Woman Christine Miura, Internet Strategist, Conversion Marketer and  Co Founder of Lotus Conversion Marketing.

1. How/why did you begin your business?
I started my marketing business in 1993 after being the Director of Marketing for a large consumer products company growing it from $3 million to $10.5 million in four years. I left this position and started my own business working with small start up companies. I advised these clients and worked marketing to their businesses. We covered strategic planning, product development, product launches, budgeting, promotions, branding, pricing, trade show, and event management and sales strategies. I successfully operated my own marketing agency for many years before taking time out to raise my family. In 2008 my beloved husband was stricken with pancreatic cancer. In 2009, I re-entered into the online marketing world and augmented my marketing skill set. I learned from industry experts in the internet marketing space: Jeff Walker, Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss and Eben Pagen. I am trained and certified as a product launch manager for both online and offline markets. Marketing campaign development, tactical implementation, acquisition of customers, online media and sales funnel development are a few of my talents.

2. What has been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge was framing a speaker’s program that showcases my expertise. Creating a LIVE EVENT sales funnel has been key to my success. I have learned that speaking and teaching is a new love of mine. I enjoy empowering and teaching women to own their life talents, wisdom and innate brilliance. Teaching them how to re-frame their business so they’re successful brings me great satisfaction. Knowing that I’m making a contribution to their success and supporting their families motivates me to do and be better in my work.

3. How do you define SUCCESS?
The level of happiness you experience on a daily basis defines success for me. Are you finding and creating magic in your life? Are you attracting the people and business opportunities you want to participate in? Are you finding creativity and passion in your work? Are your income goals and plan in place? Are you magnetizing and broadcasting your business and services to create business success? Are you running business from abundance and prosperity or scarcity and fear? Which one will help you master and create the business of your dreams? The level of service and artistry you provide to the market defines success. The experience you have inside the work makes all the difference.

4. If there was one thing you wish you knew before you began your business, what would that be?
Creating your own business is one of the most challenging experiences you will ever endeavor. There are many highs and lows on the journey. When you feel like you want to give up, ask yourself besides struggling with finding, keeping and maintaining clients what is holding you back from dreams? Is there something deeper going on? Worthiness? Confidence? Seeing your value? Understand there is no direct path to success. Many people use money as the marker for success. For me, success is much bigger than dollars. For me, it’s based on how I serve in the world by helping clients grow their businesses. The money is a result of my work with clients. The true gift is helping clients expand and grow on many levels. Working with entrepreneurs in their marketing is also being a coach for their success. By framing your branding, messaging, and services many layers of thinking are brought to the surface. Sometimes creating these can be challenging. So we work together to breakthrough and gain insight to develop powerful marketing to get you more sales. Witnessing my clients businesses expand is a big reward!

5. What makes you an innovative woman?
I believe that the world is abundant and filled with possibility. The old competitive model of fierce competition, doing it alone, there’s not enough for you and me is an old economic model. The new feminine economic model is an abundant, interactive and collaborative process. There is enough work and opportunity for everyone. Knowing how to anchor and communicate your talents to the world will make you and your business thrive. Engaging with others from a place of generosity, abundance, positivity and heart will allow you to attract the clients that you want to work with. Staying centered in your values and what’s important to you will communicate your brand and messaging so people will find you.
