Actually, are your thoughts ABOUT money sabotaging your success?
I was scared at first… when I made an investment in myself.
Hell, I didn’t really make the connection to making an investment in me because of my money mindset.
All I thought about was the money.
Even though I knew the experience was something that would move me forward to a financially stable and more fulfilling life, I struggled to get my thinking about money in alignment with my goal.
I hadn’t expected to have to pay in full (PIF) for the course.
I even called regarding a payment plan and was graciously told that option had expired months before.
But on a soul level, I knew this experience, this course, would change the trajectory of my life. (I had cast myself in the role of victim at this point in my life—but that’s all in my book.)
So I paid the $1700. There was no way around it.
I’m clear now that making that payment created an energetic shift in my thinking.
I’m also clear that the teacher was calling me to a higher version of myself with the PIF.
Looking back, it wasn’t in my money mindset to PIF.
I was so used to making payments.
It was an interesting realization of how I had trained myself.
That’s right. I had trained myself by the way I paid my credit cards then.
I had made payments on my credit card and thought that was what was done.
I didn’t understand the relationship I was embarking on and instead thought having credit cards was the opportunity to get whatever I wanted and pay the least amount. WRONG.
My money and credit card education was limited to what my parents knew, and my mother never had a credit card.
I remember I was afraid to part with my money, thinking it was all I had.
I thought the money I received from my job was it, and I had to work hard for that.
I couldn’t just be giving my money away all at one time.
Money didn’t grow on trees.
What are your thoughts about money?
For so many of my clients, their thoughts were unconscious, childhood thoughts. They thought they were thinking positive thoughts, but it would only last for a brief period before the onslaught of limiting beliefs.
Other times, they weren’t even aware of their thoughts about money.
What impact are your thoughts about money having on your success?
What part does healing your heart play in your financial freedom?
I’m hosting a tele-class where I will be exploring these very questions and more about your money matters and mindset. There really are gaps in our thinking about money that sabotage our business, households, and life.
For now here is one action step:
- Track when you spend your money, what you spend it on and how you feel when you spend it.
- For three days track the thoughts you think about money and as you handle money.
Each of these will give you insight into the impact your beliefs are having on your money and wealth.
It’s time to claim your birthright!!
Much love and respect,
Rev. Jenenne
I was told the other day that I do think money grows on trees the way I spend it. I don’t totally disagree with that. I definitely do not have a “lack” thought process.
I appreciate this article, because it helped me see the “payment” thing that I do have. It’s a burden for sure! I have lots of burden.
Thank you!
