As a contributing expert for Today’s Innovative Woman, this last month of 2015 is bittersweet. There is sadness for the lowering of the curtain but also great joy for what lies ahead for all of us.
Cathy Alessandra brought together accomplished women that created words that mattered and made a difference. So many different places, voices, subjects and philosophies brought us a micro view of a bigger world. It has been a honor and privilege to be a part of this community.
With every ending, there also comes a beginning with new friendships, skills and knowledge to take with us into the next season. How wonderful to know that even as we move forward, there are bits and pieces of where we’ve been, what we’ve read and who we’ve met going with us.
One of my favorite books is I Declare by Joel Olsteen. It has 31 chapters so it is a perfect fit for certain months to be part of my personal reflection time. The declaration for day 13 in the series has become a personal mantra for me. I share it with you our readers and my fellow experts as we move on to our next adventures:
“I DECLARE that God is bringing about new seasons of growth. I will not get stagnant and hold on to the old. I will be open to change knowing that God has something better in front of me. New doors of opportunity, new relationships, and new levels of favor are in my future. This is my declaration.”
