What a perfect time to start fresh with your business and personal life. Now is a good time to start looking at your dreams, goals, and ambitions, so that you are where you want to be on December 31, 2016. Do you want to be famous, well-educated, successful, healthier, have a comfortable income, pursue community and spiritual interests, or any of a hundred other wishes? If you are like me, you have learned that each wish starts with a first step.
Have you listed your 2016 resolutions? That’s the first step acknowledging the wish or dream and jotting it down. It seems like such a small step, yet it is really very big.! Writing it down is the first forward motion toward making that dream a reality.
So here it goes . . . my goal is to be healthier by eating better and exercising at least 3 times a week. (Excuse me
while I finish up my chocolate truffle. Hey, it was a Christmas present!) Fortunately, I am not alone. Some 80% of Americans have the same goal. But while becoming healthier is just one of my resolutions, it may or may not
be one of yours. The next biggest resolution … Get Organized! After all, January is National Get Organized Month so there’s my second resolution for 2016.
Take a look at those areas in your life that you want to declutter. Perhaps during 2015 you constantly found yourself with too much to do and too little time to do it. Even recreation became another thing to do and was quickly canceled when deadlines demanded. Only illness maybe slowed you down. You missed opportunities to make more money, enjoy more leisure and family time. Without changes, 2016 will be the same way. Just make the decision to start.
